The litigation committee of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) invites you to a panel discussion on ways all types of practicing lawyers can promote equity and inclusion by increasing the representation of diverse attorneys.  Diversity rules and practices by Federal Courts will be discussed, including a focus on the Court’s recent efforts to encourage equity and inclusion by providing court time (i.e., increased representation) for attorneys of color, women attorneys, and LGBTQ+ attorneys.

We are pleased to have a panel including four Federal District Court Judges who have implemented “Commitment to Diversity” rules in their courts.  Their experiences, along with our other diversity and inclusion panelists, will guide the discussion and provide insight into the increased representation of all diverse attorneys.  The question and answer format will be conducive to providing recommendations and suggestions benefitting attorneys of all levels.

Kara Cenar, an Officer at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. and a member of the IPLAC litigation committee, will serve as moderator of the panel.
